Today in my book Mrs Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children 3 Emma and Addison go to comic con... Addison, being the trail following dog that he is followed the peculiarity's trail all the way to some dump of a city that the main colors you see are barf green, moldy cheese yellow, and brown. The city's people aren't exactly great either. The book describes some boys drowning a dog in a lake full of bacteria and carcasses.

Today I started Mrs Peregrines home for peculiar children 3 by Ransom Riggs. This book almost exactly starts where the last ended off which I think the author did a good job on. Last time I read Jacob just learned to control the hollows but doesn't know if it was luck, or if it was a power. Apparently the folding guy was still alive but then he died in a bloody mess on the subway from a bullet wound which I think is a sad, slow, and painful way to die. I ended my reading today with Jacob, Emma, and Addison dashing away from the wights.

Today I finished Mrs Peregirns home for peculier children by Ransom Riggs. In my opinion the end it it on a great cliff hanger. The second story ends with Jacob finding a new power which is controlling hollows. But all the peculiers including Mrs Wren were kidnapped at gunpoint in a train. But the wight behind this all is planning to eat their souls. I don't know how this is possible... But apparently it is.

In Mr. Coward's class we read the Giver by Lois Lowry and watched the movie. Right now, I will tell you three reasons why the movie is better than the book. I usually like the book more than the movie, but EX: The book Eragon was great but the movie was not up to par. In this case the filmmakers did such a good job bringing out all the hidden messages and morals in the movie, so I like it more. The first reason why the movie is better than the book is because the movie is in first person. The second reason why I personally prefer the movie over the book is because of the friend relationships. The last reason why I like the Giver movie more than the book is because The movie made better changes to the story line to make the movie better. Enjoy! :)
The book by Luis Lowry was written in 3rd person which made it harder to really get Jonas feelings. But on the flip side the movie was written in first person which really made that much better than the book by showing what Jonas' true feelings were. Also, with the movie being in first person we were able to see what Jonas' opinions on decisions the elders had made were. We were almost able to feel his hatred for the elders decisions as well as see the happiness from the good memories. This made the movie just that much better than the book.
The second reason why I like the movie over the book is because of the friend relationships. In the book Jonas wasn't really close to Fiona or Asher. In the movie however, Fiona plays a big part of Jonas escape. Fiona also is the one who stops taking the injections in the movie because she trusted Jonas about emotions. The movie also starts out with Asher being good friends with Jonas and Fiona but that soon breaks apart due to Jonas' actions. In the movie, Asher becomes a drone pilot which plays a huge role in the movie and adds the conflict between Jonas and Asher. Eventually, Asher sides with Jonas and keeps the chief elder from knowing that he didn't kill Jonas telling her that he did kill him. In the movie they are friends, then a conflict forms, but they trust Jonas and the conflict resolves. In the book however, Asher was a recreation directer which made no conflict at all. The relationships between the friends is another reason why the movie is better than the book.
The last reason why I like the movie better than the book is because of the positive changes that the movie changed from the book. Whether the change be small or big it benefitted the movie. An example of a big change is Jonas, Fiona, and Asher being 16 instead of 12. They did this because it would be weird to the viewers if 12 year olds were being romantic. An example of a small change is the police having motorcycles instead of bicycles, this small change made one small scene more epic and suspenseful. Even the smallest of changes can make a difference as shown in the movie.
In conclusion, I think the movie is better than the book because It's in first person, because of the the friend relationships, and because of the positive changes. Overall, I liked the book, but I loved the movie. Personally, I think others in my class would say the same.
Today in my book, Mrs Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children 2 by Ransom Riggs our main character Jacob makes an bad decision. This bad decision is leaving an alive wight maybe able to break itself free from ice. He should have just killed it. To me, this is an insanely dumb decision. Also, in what I read the bird turns back to a human, but it's not Mrs Peregrine. It's one of her evil brothers so now one peculiar residence was taken over and the peculiar s are surrounded.

Donald Trump is America's new president elect. This means he is our future president replacing Barack Obama who was in office for eight years. Donald Trump's dad Fred Trump was born in Queens to parents from Germany. His mom, Mary Trump, emigrated to New York from Tong, Lewis, Scotland. Donald Trump was born June 14, 1946 so he is now 70 year old. Trump owns the Trump Organization which is where Trump discusses his future investments and ventures. If you saw my last post you would know that Donald trumps says racist things about other types of people. You would also know that he is sexist. Nevertheless he is our president elect and we can't change that.

Donald Trump.... Where to begin on this man. Trump is America's president elect, also a racist, sexist, and a man who also creates lies. One of his most infamous lies was that Micheal Obama (our president) wasn't born in the USA and that his birth certificate was a fraud. This next comment is extremely racist, and in these are the exact words he said: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the best. They’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bring crime. They’re rapists… And some, I assume, are good people.” This show that he thinks most Mexicans bring crime, drugs, and are... rapists. Donald Trump also showed this sexist picture, : This was on an article in these words: fter New York Times columnist Gail Collins wrote about rumors of Trump’s bankruptcy, he sent her a copy of her own article, with a picture and the "face of a dog!" sprawled across it.
